May 18, 2020. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-52678741 After reading this article, I realized the issue is not European scientists wanting to take advantage of the low socio-economic availability of impoverished populations such as Africa to test vaccinations, but the issue is impoverished countries not having access to adequate health care and modern medicine. Based on an article in the magazine the African Renewal, December 2016 - March 2017, approximately 1.6 million Africans died of Malaria, Tuberculosis, and HIV Related illnesses in 2015. These diseases could be cured with the appropriate medication, however, because most of those medication are produced in other countries, they are very costly, and not too many people in Africa can’t afford them.
