Five Talking Points Pro China and the Mongols

  1. Mongol women did not adopt foot binding.

  2. Women mixed freely with men at social gatherings.

  3. Women rode and hunted with their husbands.

  4. Mongol rulers relied heavily on women advisers -chiefs- their wives.

  5. Mongols supported merchants and artisan better than Confucian bureaucracy.


Five Talking Points Against China and the Mongols

  1. Mongols created destruction and plunder on a massive scale.

  2.  Ruling was harsh, exploitative,  foreign and resented.

  3. Mongols were not very organized; They did not have a plan or blueprint.

  4. Mongols laws discriminated against Chinese.

  5. Mongols did not trust Chinese when it came to administering -they hired Muslims from Central Asia and Middle East as officials.
